Drift / Mark

Evie Homewood and Angelea Van Dam
June 12, 2026 – June 28, 2026

Drift / Mark: Between Line & Tide brings together the work of Evie Homewood and Angelea Van Dam in an exhibition exploring how marks hold memory, movement and decision-making. Drawing on shared influences of navigation, mapping and material process, the exhibition considers the line as both structure and sensation — a trace of contact between body, environment and time.

Homewood’s works investigate the physical consequences of mark-making through steel, drawing and reworked surfaces that register pressure, interruption and passage.

Van Dam’s layered abstract paintings evolve through intuitive colour, gesture and graphic elements influenced by maritime chart systems and visual rhythm.

Together, the artists create a dialogue between instinct and structure, where marks accumulate as evidence of change.

Drift / Mark invites viewers to reflect on how meaning forms through movement — between certainty and drift, between line and tide.
