Elegy

Michelle Gearin, Anthony Luck and Robert Cleworth
February 12, 2026 – February 22, 2026

Elegy is a group exhibition bringing together the works of Michelle Gearin, Anthony Luck, and Robert Cleworth in a shared exploration of memory, mourning, and the passage of time. Across painting and drawing, the exhibition reflects on how experiences of loss are carried forward, reshaped through recollection, and transformed through sustained acts of making.

The works in Elegy move between figuration and abstraction, interior and exterior spaces, personal and historical references. Landscapes, figures, and fragments of imagery appear, dissolve, and re-emerge, suggesting memory as something unstable and continually in flux. Rather than offering fixed narratives, the exhibition invites viewers to linger in ambiguity, where meaning is constructed through layering, erasure, and repetition.

Elegy proposes mourning not as a singular event but as an ongoing condition, one that resists resolution. Sorrow and beauty sit alongside one another, intertwined rather than opposed. The exhibition offers a quiet space for reflection, where what remains is not certainty, but a sense of continuity, fragility, and persistence across time.
