This exhibition brings together Jill Wilson’s enduring connection to Central Australia, the opal-mining towns of Coober Pedy and Lightning Ridge, and the Greek island of Skopelos, where the colours of the Aegean continue to infuse her work. Her practice spans painting in oils, acrylics and mixed media, alongside distinctive printmaking processes - including zinc-plate intaglio and collagraphic monoprints - each piece built through layers of carving, inking, printing and hand-worked detail. Wilson’s extensive travels, international residencies and long-standing creative life on Skopelos, where she now works for several months each year, inform a body of work rich in pattern, texture and the lyrical lines of landscape.
