LADY GRUBS
Curated by Jessica Gilbert
22 August to 2 September 2026
LEDA Gallery

There is something distinctly visceral at the heart of LADY GRUBS, a new group exhibition curated by Newcastle-based painter Jessica Gilbert.

Recurring and overlapping themes throughout everyone’s work include a rejection of the highbrow art scene; pride in the mundane and imperfect; a celebration of the working class; and a suburban flavour that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Ladies can be grubs too.

Opening: Saturday 22 August, 5–7pm
