Soren Hillis is an artist living on Awabakal land, Newcastle. Soren's paintings and drawings show a fine sensitivity for mood, texture and subtle metaphor. His work is recognised for its impressive sense of framing within compositions and its mood through colour, lighting and shifting skewed perspectives.

Further developments share the concept of survival through clever use of light and shadow creating a dark narrative at times which conjure glimmers of hope and renewal. A chronicle of both lived experiences and memory through ethereal imagery.
