An exhibition by practising artists
Yvette Ten-Bohmer, Andy Devine and Grant Vercoe
The exhibition's title creates a space where each artist exists independently while remaining connected within a greater whole. Like individual voices in conversation, their distinct practices come together to reveal a shared sense of camaraderie, companionship and creative spirit.
All three artists experiment with and play upon the surfaces they work on, exploring the relationship between image and process while challenging the boundaries between painting and printmaking.
Together, their practices draw upon Australian landscapes and local scenes, personal experiences, and a shared passion for travel. Through both familiar and newly encountered places, they explore how imagery can emerge from experience, be transformed through process, and be reimagined through creative play.
Grant Vercoe holds a PhD in Architecture and Creative Practice, while Andy Devine and Yvette Ten-Bohmer are both educators at TAFE NSW Newcastle Art School.
