Newcastle Art Space

Established in 1983 as the Newcastle Community Arts Centre, Newcastle Art Space (NAS) is a leading co-located arts hub in Tighes Hill, Newcastle. For more than four decades it has fostered creativity by providing exhibition opportunities, professional development, and support for artists across painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, photography, and more. Located within the O-Block on the Newcastle TAFE campus, NAS includes over 20 artist studios and a flexible gallery space featuring changing exhibitions, mentorship programs, arts prizes, and internships. Its evolving exhibitions and community-driven programming make it a vital resource for both emerging and established artists in the Hunter region.
