The University Gallery (UON)
The University Gallery at the University of Newcastle is a contemporary exhibition space housed on the Callaghan campus, operating for more than 25 years as a hub for creative thinking, cross-disciplinary collaboration and critical engagement. It presents a varied program of contemporary exhibitions featuring work by staff, students, First Nations artists and creatives from both local and national contexts. The gallery is situated in an award-winning building designed by alumnus Peter Stutchbury and forms part of the broader University Galleries network, which also includes Watt Space Gallery and the Senta Taft Hendry Museum.
